PRAYER COORNER "ASK FOR IT!"

Matthew 7:7---Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

The Bible states in James 4:2b, "yet ye have not, because ye ask not." What is your need or desire? What holds you back from asking God? Are you expecting God to treat you in the same manner as someone from your past when you for something? Do you feel underserving of what you are asking God for? Ask yourself these questions. Sometimes the way these questions are answered becomes the reasons you do not ask of God. You have been praying for everyone else and asking God to meet his or her needs and desires.  However, for whatever reason, you will not ask God for what you need and desire. It is not because He is not listening or not willing to give you what you need and desire, but because you feel unworthy to receive . Sometimes you may think that, because God already knows what you want, you do not have to ask for it.  You are absolutely right! God is omniscient and already knows what you need. However, God does not work through osmosis but through prayer, supplication, and faith. God has granted you the right to ask for what you desire and what you need. Often, you don't have because you refuse to open mouth to ask! It's time to go to your Father and ask for it!

REFLECTION: Remember the one thing you thought was too hard for God, but you asked for it anyway and He delivered.

IMPARTATION: Talk to God and know that He hears you...even when you ask.

MEDITATION:  John 14:14: If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

COMMUNICATION:  Jesus, it is a privilege to know that I can come to you and ask for what I need or desire of my heart. Thank you for paving the way through giving your life, because I can now come boldly before the throne of grace.  In Jesus' Name. Amen.
