PRAYER CORNER "GIVING UP IS NOT AN OPTION" DAY 36
DON'T FIGHT: JUST PRAISE
2 CHRONICLES 20:17, 21--Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you. O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you. And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever.
In 2 Chronicles 20, the Lord said to Jehoshaphat and the people of Israel and Judah that there was no need to fight the battle against Mt. Seir, Ammon, and Moab. In times past, God had led his people that this battle does not belong to them, but this battle belongs to Him (/verse 15). Are you in a battle? Have you fasted and prayed about the battle you are facing? Seek God's voice on whether this is a battle you will fight or if this is a time of praise. If He says don't fight, then, by all means, take off your war clothes and put on the garment of praise. Instead of going to battle with your sword, go to the battle with your song. Jehoshaphat instructed the singers to go into battle before the army to sing praises to the Lord. It's time for you to show up to the battle with praise on your lips (Hebrews 13:15). Yes, the situation, issue, and diagnosis are the worst battles you have ever faced, but praise Him. Praise God for fighting on your behalf. Praise Him for directing your path. Praise Him for healing your body. Praise Him through song . Praise Him through your dance. Praise Him for the spoils your enemy left behind and that you now have in your possession (Verse 25). This time your don't have to fight, just put down your weapons and pick your praise.
