PRAYER CORNER "GIVING UP IS NOT AN OPTION" DAY 37
1 CORINTHIANS 15:10---But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
There has been some point in your life where you have attempted to be whatever everyone else wanted you to be. Growing up, your parents may have implanted in your mind a suggestion about what he or she thought would be best for your life. Have you struggled to follow the path someone else wanted you to take and failed? Or have you ever made choices based upon the opinions of others? God created you as a unique person. Even identical twins are not exactly the same in every aspect. When God created you, He created you to be you! There is no one in the world that can beat you at being you. In verse 9, Paul describes who he was and what he did before his Damascus road experience. He was an oppressor of the church through cruelty and violence. But after the Damascus road experience, Paul received the unmerited favor and blessing of God as an apostle. Your past may have caused you to make some decisions you are ashamed of or caused you to travel down a road that should not have been a part of your journey. But, by the grace, love, and unfailing mercies of God, you are who you are. You do not have to hold your head down nor be ashamed of where you have been. Thank God for His grace. Celebrate what God is doing in your life. Celebrate who God has called you to be and become. It does not matter who remembers your past; what matters most is seeing the God in your present.
