THE TREASURE IN YOU

2 Corinthians 4:7---But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God, and of us.

There is a treasure deep inside of you.  You have treasures of gifts and talents.  There are treasures of encouragement, healing, mentorship, writing, or creating businesses. That treasure was given to you by God before you were formed in your mother's womb.  This hidden treasure can be revealed through you.  Although if appears that the sufferings you have endured have buried these treasures, it is those sufferings that will allow the treasure to be found. Hidden treasures cannot be found on the surface; they are found far beneath where the naked eye cannot see them.  Your treasure, given from God, is not on the surface for people to see immediately, but it is hidden beneath, in your spirit.  Your power does not come from the physical strength you display.  It does not come from the power of your own mind.  The power comes from God above, who has placed it inside of you as a treasure. Your treasure is the compassion you have for those who are less fortunate after having to walk through times of lack. Your treasure is helping someone build his or her ministry or business after your business or ministry failed.  Your treasure is ministering to those who are brokenhearted and despondent. You have a hidden treasure that will be revealed each day. Finding this treasure takes work, God placed this treasure in you because He can trust you with it. This treasure (the light of God) stored in our earthen vessels is given so "that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God" (2 Corinthians 4:7b AMP).

Write a devotional from your heart to God.  Allow God to hear your heart's desires,  your thoughts, and your gratefulness.
