This week's lesson focuses on how God communicated to the prophets and how this communication resulted in the variety of writings that we see in the Bible. Since the Fall, as the first lesson pointed out, humans have lost direct access to God. Through revelation-inspiration, however, God connected with fallen humanity and communicated His will through the prophets and other contributors to the Bible. Scriptures testifies to both revelation and inspiration in the biblical writers and should be the starting place for understanding this divine-human process. Ellen G. White understood this process from experience and from her own study of Scripture. The lesson thus moves from Scripture to her own experience of revelation-inspiration.
