PRAYEF CORNER "GIVING UP IS NOT AN OPTION" DAY 38
LET IT BURN
Job 23:10--But he knoweth the way I should take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Before creating a vessel the potter already has the desired finish in mind. He takes every precaution to ensure he molds the clay into the shape he desires. Upon completing the desired shape for the vessel, the potter places it in the fire. The fire, which is set to over 2,000 degrees is not meant to break, crack or damage the vessel, but to burn off any impurities on the clay. The heat from the fire also hardens the vessel. We are vessels of God. Before we were born, God already had our desired finish in mind....everlasting life. We were molded and shaped by Him (the Potter) from the dust of the ground (the clay). In life, we are tried by the fire through tests, trials, and hardships. These trials are not meant to harm, break, or destroy our faith in God or His Word. However, the fiery trials help us burn off impurities that sin, depression, frustration, bitterness, lust, or anger have placed on our spiritual vessels. The impurities are left by the trials and tests we have endured. Yet, it is also the fire, that solidifies who we are in Christ. After we walk through the fire, we come forth as gold. We shine bright like gold. The light of our allows others to see that, although we have gone through the fire, we were not destroyed or consumed by it. The fire is only an indication that we will come forth as a vessel worthy of display. Allow God to try you in the fire. Soon we will see that the fire helps us to become an illuminated light which shines for Jesus Christ.
